Avon Peaking Power and Dedisa Peaking Power are the first large private power generation projects in the Republic of South Africa with a combined capacity of 1,005 MW. The companies will build, own and operate two greenfield open-cycle turbine power plants of 670 MW (Avon) and 335 MW (Dedisa), which are located in the KwaZulu-Natal Province and in the Eastern Cape Province respectively.
