About Awaken Genius

Albert Einstein once said "everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree it will live his whole life believing it's stupid". Our children deserve not to feel stupid, insignificant, or worthless. Awaken Genius offers an alternative education service that gives life to learning by empowering children and parents with a new understanding of genius and intelligence. Our mission is to make learning fun by weaving in or incorporating the creative arts, for example; storytelling, theatre, visual arts, music, and movement; as well as collaborative peer and teacher learning into Math and English classroom communities. In addition, we aim to reduce mainstream school exclusion and promote mental wellbeing in children by creating an intrinsically motivated learning environment and a sense of purpose, identity and belonging, and learning autonomy. As well as addressing emotional and anger management issues affecting pupils progress, development and attainment. We achieve this by focusing on engaging and meaningful learning, as well as pupils wellbeing, in order to empower, nurture and inspire them to realise their potential and become life-long learners. Awaken Genius creates an alternative educational environment for mixed ability children who learn differently.
