Managing Director and founder Adrian Waite worked in local government as an accountant and as a senior manager from 1981 to 1998, becoming Assistant County Treasurer at Staffordshire County Council and then Finance Director and Strategic Director at Copeland Borough Council. In 1998 he left local government to found ‘AWICS’. Since 1998 ‘AWICS’ has developed an impressive portfolio of principally public sector clients and has developed a reputation for providing quality services. The company is based in Appleby in Westmorland in Cumbria but offers services to clients in all parts of England, Scotland, Wales and abroad. ‘AWICS’ is an ethical management consultancy specialising in providing support to those who provide public services.
