About Aziza Pe&Ce

A Legacy of Empowerment and Healing Mission: At Aziza PE&CE, we are dedicated to renewing the health and well-being of Black girls and LGBTQ+ youth by instilling Black history, culture, self-love, and solidarity into their souls. We aim to empower the next generation to thrive, unapologetically, as leaders, innovators, and changemakers. History: Founded in 2008 by Saran Fossett, Aziza PE&CE began as a tribute to her daughter, Nile Aziza, and a reflection of a mother’s love. Recognizing the systemic barriers facing marginalized youth, Saran combined her expertise in fashion, education, and advocacy to create a safe space for growth and self-expression. In 2011, the organization expanded to engage LGBTQ+ youth through the Positive Energy & Cultivating Excellence (PE&CE) program. Programs & Approach: Aziza PE&CE uses a holistic and non-conventional approach to address the social, emotional, and cultural needs of youth. Through arts, fashion, music, mentoring, and entertainment, we tackle critical issues such as anxiety, depression, confidence, and self-esteem. Our programs empower youth to embrace their identities, develop critical thinking skills, and build resilience. Impact: Over the years, Aziza PE&CE has transformed the lives of thousands of young people, helping them overcome challenges and achieve self-empowerment. Events like the annual STRUT fashion show celebrate their growth and creativity, showcasing their journey toward confidence and leadership.
