About B Arts
B arts (Beavers Arts ltd) is a combined and participatory arts organisation founded in 1985. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, a city with dramatic socio-economic inequalities, our artistic vision is to produce high-quality arts experiences with people from many different backgrounds. We aim to strengthen the cultural infrastructure in our area; increase the diversity and range of artists and producers working in the region, and offer quality and depth of engagement in the arts to all. Our base, No.72, is an arts and communities hub, fronted with a community larder/café, providing a welcoming, flexible and accessible project, exhibition, performance and making space. We work with local residents from across Stoke-on-Trent from underserved groups in society, including those who are living in poverty, the vulnerably housed, people with many life challenges and individuals from black and other diverse groups. We are an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation - a network of arts and cultural organisations that reach diverse audiences with high-quality work. We bring our experience of the arts and education to make positive contributions to cultural developments and cultural leadership in our city.
