At B:bot, we are focused on solving a problem others have ignored. Only 10% of the 500 billion plastic bottles produced each year in the world are collected. Guess Why? Not because recycling technologies are not available. No. But because it’s complex and costly to collect. So we’ve decided to make it simple and profitable enough. We’ve pioneered technologies that could enable a solution to be rolled out globally. Fast! And it works really well! In just a few months, our solution has been adopted as the preferred choice. Already, over 290 million bottles have been collected, and that’s just the beginning. Achieving this simplicity and cost effectiveness required the engineering of a smart system, of which the machine is just a cool-looking part. Good news, we’ve got a smart team. We like to give our tech guys impossible problems to solve like... • How to divide the volume of plastic by 10 and multiply its value by 3, just few seconds after the bottle is in? • How to adapt to millions of human gestures and thousands of bottle shapes? • How to collect teras of data to teach the whole system the best way to self maintain and improve itself We are proud to be pioneering a game changing solution in the business of cleaning the world, but we are also aware the problem is huge, urgent, and very far to be solved. We decided to do our part though. And the motivation simply comes from fast progress. By the way, the boss always says « No measurement. No progress ». So we added another question to the list: How do you track it all? Number of users, bottles per user, bottles per brand and per specific variant? So that any progress we achieve together can be celebrated. Yup. We got that too. And you’d be surprised to know what we see in the numbers… If you refuse the status quo, if you like disrupting tech, impact business that impact for real, well… there is a team who likes it too here. Chances are we should meet and make bigger things together.
