About B.O.L.D. -Blended Online Learning Discovery Of Florida

BOLD, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization established in 2012 to represent the 67 district virtual instruction programs in the state of Florida. Each district is a part of the state’s public school system offering students a more flexible and alternative means to education. The various districts represent a diverse cross-section of K-12, Full-Time, and Part-Time online institutions throughout the state. The Florida Department of Education provides the state statutes that govern how the district virtual instruction programs are operated and managed. BOLD, Inc. strives to provide support, best practices, professional development and resources for administrators and decision makers in virtual education. in June of 2020, there was a name change to our organization. We switched from Florida District Virtual Instruction Program Network (FLDVIPN) to Blended and Online Learning Discovery of Florida (BOLD). Annually, BOLD, Inc. has a 3-day Symposium to bring all virtual educators in the state together with vendors and suppliers of products and services that are important to virtual educators for a productive time of professional development. The symposium provides workshops, presentations, and interactive activities to demonstrate best practices and innovative methods of being successful in virtual education.
