B-Plas Sbrl - benefit company - designs and builds fully automated plants that transform wastewater sludge into PHA, a bio-based and biodegradable bioplastic, with a lower environmental impact than available technological alternatives. B-Plas adopts the principles of "Green Growth" in its circular technology model, embracing a path of environmentally and socially sustainable economic growth. Through an innovative process, B-Plas applies a concrete and effective solution to the "sludge problem" with the aim of: • Propose a sustainable management of wastewater sludge, creating economic, environmental and social benefits; • Offering an alternative to traditional methods in a perspective of circular economy. B-Plas treats sludge: • agrro-food • from civil and industrial purification • from the paper manufacturing industry • from biological treatment of industrial waste water B-Plas improves the chemical and physical characteristics of the dewatered sludge at the outlet, without altering its legal classification. The biodegradable and compostable PHA produced is then purchased from at an agreed price. Subsequently, the PHA is stored and marketed for the production of environmentally sustainable materials and products for applications in 3D printing, agriculture, giftware, green building, packaging & catering.
