About Babis Bach Babies

A unique experience for babies and toddlers. Combining live music from classically trained musicians with storytelling, our sessions aim to support pre-school education by encouraging language learning in both Welsh and English, introduce topical themes through song and movement and develop confidence through participation. Babis Bach Babies work regularly with a variety of organisations. Most recently they have been working with the Rhondda Cynon Taf Council touring 35 pre school settings in the county. They also regularly work with Menter Iaith Rhondda Cynon Taf, promoting the Welsh language through their sessions. Babis Bach Babies was set up by Megan Morris and Ellie Ayling, two friends who met whilst studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Meg has since pursued a successful career as a professional harpist. As a soloist, she performs in weddings and events and is currently working on several projects with Live Music Now including the 'Lullaby Project', helping mothers create lullabies for their babies. Ellie trained as a primary school teacher after completing her music degree and worked across the different key stages. She is now trained in mental health and works for the fantastic organisation 'Mothers Matter'. Meg and Ellie both became Mums in 2020/2021 and it is since having their children Lorena and Arthur respectively that they decided to set up Babis Bach Babies, combining all their skills and passions.
