About Backwell School
What makes this school special is that it provides consistent academic excellence, yet remains a school whose hallmarks are friendliness, belief in the breadth of opportunity for all and a real sense of community. Backwell is a popular school. Currently, there are 1,300 students in Years 7 to 11 and 390 in the Sixth Form. As well as enabling our young people to achieve academic success, we place great importance on helping them to develop a strong sense of right and wrong and actively uphold the values of tolerance and mutual respect.
