Manufacturer of nut harvesting sweepers and ammunition cartridge collectors. In the fall of 1988, Mr. James Dudley and his sons went to visit his relatives in Georgia for a weekend of deer hunting. When they arrived however, they ended up spending three days on their hands and knees, picking up pecans. James came back to Jacksonville and said, "There has to be a better way!". Mr. Dudley had been an inventor since the age of nine and had been in the plastics industry for thirty years. He immediately put his mind to work and conceived and developed the Bag-A-Nut. In the summer of 1989 the corporation, Bag-A-Nut, Inc., was formed and the first model of his harvesters debuted at farm shows across the Southern United States. His original harvester had a bag on the front to collect nuts, hence the name Bag-A-Nut. The Bag-A-Nut was received with great enthusiasm, and has since been sold all over the world to homeowners blessed with tree nuts, and farms. Mr. Dudley has since passed away, but his inventive spirit carries on with his grandsons, Caleb and Silas Dudley leading the company.
