About BajaEd

BajaEd serves the agricultural community of Mandeadero, south of Ensenada, Baja California by providing scholarships to students with motivation and potential who otherwise would not be able to obtain an education. We also operate a neighborhood educational center which provides students with access to computers, internet access, tutoring, and mentoring. We offer adult education for all levels from basic literacy through receiving high school diplomas, as well as English classes, computer courses, workshops for parents, and craft classes. Our staff provides mentoring and social services to the families of our students. Our students and their families participate in community service projects such as refurbishing rural classrooms, planting trees, cleaning parks, painting playgrounds, etc. We currently provide scholarships to over 200 students from preschool through university, and have more than 60 people in adult education programs.
