Balanced Railway Certification, LLC. is privately owned and operated by Dennis Sandifer and Troy Swedlund. We have over 25 years of combined experience testing railroad track scales. BRC is headquartered out of the Quitman, Texas area. BRC has been established with the customer in mind, with fast on-time railroad track scale testing and certification. Our combination of supplying the best customer service with the best rates will quickly earn customer respect and loyalty. BRC services multiple states, including Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Colorado, Mississippi, Alabama, Wyoming, Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, Indiana, North Carolina and South Carolina. BRC will test your railroad track scale using 80,000lb combined certified weights and test car. We are completely mobile utilizing two tractor trailers to transport the weight, test cart plus use a knuckle boom crane to unload the cart and weights for testing. Once the scale test is finished, all equipment is quickly loaded up and removed from your industry so you can get back to utilizing your scale. Your railroad track scale will be certified in accordance to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST HB 44) and also with the Association of American Railroads (AAR). BRC is a registered scale service company with all states that require it. BRC will contact your local state agency with the date and time of the test so they can be present if desired to conduct and witness the test. BRC also works closely with your scale company that will perform any adjustment if needed.
