Ball Bearings is a student-run magazine at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, that publishes in-depth stories in print and online. The publication explores issues that have a regional and national impact, often through the lens of Ball State students. With its emphasis on “why,” Ball Bearings provides readers with thought-provoking feature stories, columns and commentary, essays and criticism, and Q&As. Each semester focuses on a single editorial theme, and that theme is explored in depth across multiple platforms. Mission: Ball Bearings’ mission is to deliver quality long-form content on the internet and in print, modeling national magazines. We accept nothing less than excellence. Stories are to be thoroughly reported and written in narrative style. We strive to reach an audience that goes beyond Ball State and beyond Indiana.
