About Bamboo Projects

We are a mental health and disability support charity. We have found through our own experiences, and experiences supporting others, that there is a gap in the support system. We believe that we can be the 'stepping stone' to connect back to yourself and your community through mateship and connection. We provide a variety of supports that can expand people's abilities and increase their mental health. We do this through a hands-on individual problem-solving approach. We create value by providing a purpose through back to work programs, environmental programs and outdoor activities for participants. PROGRAMS: ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS Cleaning up the environment while connecting with the community and self. By being involved in these programs, we can expand our understanding of our local areas and how to sustainably care for our environment for the future. INDIGENOUS PROGRAMS We engage with local Kabi Kabi / First Nations people to deliver Young Men's and Young Women's programs. INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT Through the NDIS, we are registered to provide many areas of one on one and small group-based support. BACK TO WORK PROGRAMS We have recycle bins in local businesses where our participants collect recyclable cans and bottles through our back to work programs. They are then emptied, cleaned and replaced. The funds raised go directly back into work uniforms, resume building workshops and more to support people to engage in the workforce.
