Banabae is a family concept store dreaming up ethical products with soul—and just the right sprinkle of childhood nostalgia. From apparel to accessories and retro homewares, every piece in our range is designed to make you smile and feel good about your purchase. We specialise in meaningful gifts for families—ones that bring joy, spark connection, and leave a lighter footprint on the planet. Our story begins with two new mamas and a spark of inspiration. Alana and Jaz, long-time friends and fellow retro lovers, found themselves on maternity leave with babes in arms—and totally uninspired by the baby linens on offer. Their love of colour, nature, and all things vintage led to the birth of Banabae: a joyful range of ethically made swaddles designed to brighten the everyday. Since then, Banabae has grown into a vibrant collection of eco-conscious apparel, accessories, and homewares—each piece made to fill your family home with fun, positivity, and purpose. With decades of experience in design, sourcing and production, Alana and Jaz built Banabae to be the kind of business they wanted to shop with: ethical, transparent, and doing better by people and planet. We only work with natural fibres (organic and non-organic) that are breathable, sustainable and toxin-free. Our designs are digitally printed—meaning no harsh chemicals or excess water—and we’re proudly exploring the sustainable power of hemp and recycled fibres in our collections. We also say a big “no thanks” to single-use plastics at every step of our process. As proud members of 1% for the planet. we donate 1% of our revenue to environmental causes across the globe.
