About Bandu Organisation
WHAT WE DO At Bandu, it is our mission to ensure all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students have the skills, training, confidence and connections to see that they fly into life after secondary school. Bandu provides comprehensive wellbeing care, administrative support, and workplace readiness training to First Nations students transitioning from high school into tertiary education and employment. Working with our higher education and corporate sector partners, Bandu connects student participants with the right people at the right places to ensure successful study and employment, as well as flourishing wellbeing, in these crucial years. WHY WE DO IT Bandu Organisation was created to address the existing Gap in higher education and employment between non-Indigenous and Indigenous Australians. First Nations students are completing primary and secondary school at higher rates than ever before but there are minimal support systems in place when they finish their HSC. Our care and support programs enable First Nations students to continue to excel in all areas of their life after high school, ensuring improved outcomes for generations to come.
