Banff Doghouse(BDH) is a boutique dog store specializing in everything dog from the fun to fabulous, active to adventuresome. The BDH boutique was a start up vision project initiated by two entrepreneurs that proved to themselves that their skills and abilities from previous careers in tourism and teaching could be transitioned to this new venture. Since inception the company has continued to grow and based on season now employees between 6-8 employees. Over the past three years particular attention has been paid to creating BDH branded apparel and toys and in December 2022 the first line of Daisy Dog fleeces was released by BDH. The store retains strong community support and engagement through dedication to Bow Valley locals, and creation of dog focused programming for locals and visitors such as the Hot Dog Zone, which is a summer rest area for dogs and weekly free Pack Walk & Talks in the summer months. The owners are dedicated to pet rescue and advocates for pet tourism and support several rescues through donation boxes, events and dog fostering. In September 2022 the owners along with Arthur their Canine Entertainment Officer (CEO) just celebrated their 5th year in business.
