Barry Island Spirits Co is a small, family-run independent spirits business specialising in creating premium, small-batch spirits from the purest Welsh water gravitated from the Brecon Beacons. Based in the Vale of Glamorgan, the recipes for the Barry Island Spirits range have been inspired by the natural environment around our home on the beautiful South Wales coastline. A husband-and-wife team, Barry Island Spirits Co was formed in 2021 and focuses on creating small-batch high quality, naturally great tasting spirits. Despite being a new business, Barry Island Spirits Co is already making waves: Barry Island Welsh Dry Gin was awarded a Great Taste Award Gold Star in 2021 with judges saying it is a 'beautifully balanced gin'. In May 2022 the internationally recognised Gin Guide Awards announced Barry Island Pink Dry Gin as a winner in the Flavoured Gin category, Barry Island Dry Gin as Highly Commended in the Traditional Gin Category and Barry Island Spirits as a Design & Branding Winner for the full range of spirits. In addition to winning a Great Taste award, Barry Island Gin has appeared in the Sunday Times Magazine, is stocked by Heston Blumenthal’s Michelin Star restaurant, The Hinds Head in Bray and it’s been spotted in The Body Coach Joe Wick’s home bar. Our current range includes Barry Island Welsh Dry Gin (40%), Barry Island Botanical Spiced Rum (40%), Barry Island Organic Welsh Vodka (40%) and Barry Island Pink Dry Gin (37.5%). Products are available in striking, custom designed 70cl and 5cl bottles. Supporting products such as glassware and hamper boxes are also available. Barry Island Spirits Co products are stocked by independent Farm Shop’s, Deli’s, bars and restaurants (including Heston Blumenthal’s Michelin Star restaurant The Hinds Head in Bray) all over the UK.
