About Base Models
Base Models, founded in 2006, since its formation Base has gained a reputation for creating beautiful yet practical models in response to its clients’ needs. This has involved working extensively with a range of Architectural practices and Developers both small and large. Day to day this includes a range of bespoke manufacturing, 3D printing and laser cutting, Model transport, plinth making and signage. Innovative and progressive design communication through models has become the spine of any approach Base Models brings to its projects. This can be through interaction, material awareness or scale to best communicate the client’s intention. Since its inception, Base Models has had its work exhibited in Tate Britain, The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, 10 Downing Street, Haus der Kunst, The Norman Foster Foundation, Cityscape Global and MIPIM. With a core base of design conscience clients Base Models positions itself to design led making, producing models for competition, design development, planning and exhibition. This has led to a fast-paced organised studio environment to answer our client’s needs. This environment of architect led making has over time allowed us the experience and exposure to the very newest design architecture and more importantly the production/display and communication challenges that these type of projects offer.
