Base Soaps was founded in 2017 by Lianne and Mick after finding purpose when discovering the devastating, generational impacts middle-ear infection has had on regional indigenous communities. With Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children suffering with middle-ear infection rates among the highest in the world and at five times the rate of non-Indigenous children. With Mick’s background in chemistry, they decided to embark on the Base Soaps journey. Since its inception Base Soaps has sold over half a million bars of soap, harnessing the power of purchasing for good. Together, we can make a difference. Base Soaps mission is to: • Empower regional and remote communities by providing funds that support positive health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. • Empower consumers to solve problems and create a better world through their purchasing behaviour. • Create quality soap that enriches people’s lives by caring for skin, the environment and the health of our regional and remote communities.
