About BASTA

BASTA is more than a non-profit organization. We are about revolution! In the past 15+ years, BASTA has grown to being one of the largest housing rights non-profit organizations in Southern California that provides direct legal representation to low-income tenants. We have four full-service offices, nearly 20 attorneys, and boast many published cases where BASTA attorneys changed the law. We pioneered the right to a jury trial for eviction matters, a right now regularly invoked across the entire State by tenants facing potential eviction and homelessness.
