About Battle of the Beats
Founded 2011 in Manila, Philippines with a goal to provide an entertaining and educational platform for music producers to shine, Red Alert Live's "Battle of the Beats" Music Production Competition was a flagship event that grew into a movement. Created and hosted by Artist/Music Producer Sam Rhansum, it became a "first of its kind" event for the entire nation and the start of what became a longstanding phenomenon putting a spotlight on music makers and launching the careers of multiple producers. Quickly gaining the support of major labels, brands, television and radio networks, the Battle of the Beats name became a “stamp of approval” even for its producers. Yearly, after our eight weeks of “Auditions”, placement in the finals alone developed into an industry “seal of quality’. And every “Finals” had the nations major lables, production houses, and A-List artists in attendance. Our producers were scouted, jobs were offered, deals were made, and careers were launched. In 2015 The Battle of the Beats Nordic was founded. Expanding our brand of competitions into Europe via the regions of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Yearly finals are held in co-operation with the DMC Turntable Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Battle of the Beats have continued to gain international recognition and the respect and support of brands such as MTV, Sony Pictures Television, Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort, Redbull, Puma, Presonus, Native Instruments, Mackie and KRK. And as our sponsors continued to grow we have been able to award at each “Finals” a Grand Prize of a complete home studio (all high end gear and software).
