About Bayit Cham

Bayit Cham is a national Israeli non-profit that has pioneered innovative community-based mental health solutions for underserved populations. It operates 7 full-service mental health clinics for children and adults, provides treatment for women and children victims of sexual abuse in 4 clinics, operates vocational training programs and provides supported employment services in the mainstream workplace in 47 cities throughout Israel, including the Northern and Southern peripheries. It runs mental health awareness programs to promote prevention and early intervention as well as to combat deeply ingrained stigmas in Israeli society. These programs have significantly impacted on Israeli society's upgrading of medical care for psychiatric disorders to the highest international standards. Bayit Cham serves close to 70,000 men, women and children annually from all sectors of Israeli society. Our Mission Bayit Cham's mission is to provide the highest level of professional services that enable people struggling with mental illness and emotional trauma to recover and lead full and productive lives through the provision of: • Vocational rehabilitation including training and employment in the mainstream workforce, • Full-service mental health clinics, • Special programs for victims of sexual abuse, • Public awareness programs to educate and sensitize the broader community to issues of mental health, • Community outreach to break the social isolation of people with mental illness and emotional challenges. Our Vision We believe that by providing a broad array of professional services, our clients experiencing emotional trauma and/or mental illness will be able to integrate meaningfully into society.
