The Big Bad Woof is dedicated to sustainable business practices including seeking out and carrying the best in eco-friendly pet supplies, Fair Trade items, and merchandise sourced from local and North American companies, with preference given to small manufacturers and minority owned companies. We are committed to providing nutritious foods for companion animals whether they are dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, or fish. We offer premium, holistic, organic and raw foods for this reason. We also offer a local store-to-door delivery service in the Washington DC and Maryland area. Many items not available in store can be ordered for delivery and in-store pickup. Since opening The Big Bad Woof® flagship store in March of 2005, response from the pet community has been enthusiastic. The Big Bad Woof® in Takoma DC was named one of the areas best pet supply store in Washingtonian Magazine February 2006 & 2008 Pet Issues. The store is regularly featured in the Washington Post Sunday Source Best Picks section.
