Be The Change MN was born out of a moment of national reckoning in 2020—with the mission to bridge the gap between communities and corporations, and to elevate smaller, youth-focused nonprofits in the Twin Cities. Founded in the wake of George Floyd’s death and the COVID-19 pandemic, we were created to serve with purpose, equity, and urgency. We believe in the power of connection, access, and community-centered philanthropy. Through events that are equal parts impactful and joyful, we’ve helped raise awareness and funds for underserved youth, engaged over 10,000 students, families, teachers, and community leaders annually, and created platforms for authentic dialogue and support. Our signature initiatives include: 💼 Follow Your Dreams College & Career Fair – Hosted at Orchestra Hall, this event empowers over 600 students of color and newcomers to explore pathways into higher education and the workforce. 🎄 Winter Wonderland – In partnership with the Mall of America, this magical experience supports over 3,000 elementary students, families, and educators with curated holiday programming and VIP treatment. ⛳ Annual Golf Tournament – A high-impact fundraiser connecting corporate sponsors with small nonprofits, awarding $5,000–$10,000 grants to organizations serving youth and families.
