Beacon Media Group is a proactive and dynamic media service provider. The group seeks to give a voice to as many different opinions as possible, in full respect of the audiences’ abilities to form their own opinions on all manner of decision. The move in 2013 to take the news to a digital platform led to the development of Newsbook.com.mt which, over the years has gone from strength to strength with audiences exploding in reach since January 2017. Today ‘RTK103’ and ‘Newsbook’ remain credible frontliners in the news service industry, with ‘Newsbook’ being the 3rd most accessed news portal in Malta, according to Alexa.com at the time of writing. Both the radio station and the online newsportal are multiple award-winning services that have always prided themselves on accuracy and fairness, and have attracted some of the best journalists on the island. This is the place where journalists come to grow. Today, our main goal remains that of providing an information service to whoever needs it, whenever and wherever they require it, across all platforms including the website, native app and other outlets, in such a way that listeners to the radio and readers of the website derive both value, as well as a rich engaging experience.
