Beacon Media partners with existing media and grassroots community outlets and publishers across platforms to share the voices and vision of the next generation of public leaders who are pushing for change at the state and local level in North Carolina. Our content creators weave a new tone and brand for leaders committed to our state’s progress and brings in new audiences to build a better North Carolina, one community and one grassroots leader at a time. Beacon Media acts as a media syndicate, distributing opinion/commentary to existing media partners such as local newspapers and radio stations to share the voices and vision of future public leaders who are pushing for change — all for free to those vital publications. We recruit and support these leaders and content creators to tell powerful stories that promote our state’s progress with a tone of hope and clear calls to action. Beacon views “media” broadly, to include community groups and information networks. Our potential media partners range from local newspaper and radio stations to NextDoor, church newsletters and WhatsApp and Facebook groups. We have three target media environments aimed at underserved audiences: rural-area media, African-American media, and Spanish-language media. We distribute content across all three and some targeted content within each of those communities.
