BEAD GmbH is an apparel & fashion company based out of Wermelskirchen, Saxony, Germany. For over 10 years, as pioneers in upcycling bags and accessories, we have given tons of plastic a new life as handbags, cosmetic bags and storage containers. Here, emptied fish feed bags, cement bags, remnants of mosquito net production and recycled oceanbound plastic are used in a high-quality form. For us, however, recycling plastic raw materials is only one component of our sustainable mission. We are particularly proud not only to support 600 families in production (which is certified by the World Fair Trade Organisation) under these conditions, but also to work with a large proportion of disabled people in South East Asia and Germany. We are proud to be an official network partner of the UN Ocean Decade 2021 - 2030.
