Beansprouts is a small-scale nursery setting in Bedminster. Offering a home-from-home approach to childcare, we will have up to 8 children ranging from ages 6 months to 3 years in our vibrant and nurturing environment. With a focus on learning through play, we want children to explore in ways that nourish their soul. Our core principles lean heavily on Montessori values and lessons. We believe that children of all ages should be encouraged to take on tasks independently where they can, whether that’s finding a cup for a drink or choosing objects to put back in their place after play. We also love being outside, so will integrate outdoor play and Forest School values heavily into our daily lives at Beansprouts. Getting messy and allowing children to explore nature in the safety of the setting will be an incredible opportunity for them to grow more confident in their physical and cognitive play outdoors. Our purpose-built play garden creates the perfect setting to explore outdoors no matter the weather. With a child led approach to play we offer a stimulating environment in which children can participate in various activities all put together with the children in our care in mind. We will observe and listen to them and see what they’re interested in at that moment in time and incorporate it into their play and learning. With a max capacity of 8 children, Beansprouts will have the ability to fully engage with your children throughout their days with us, allowing their cognitive development to expand and flourish. We feel that having a small setting gives children the opportunity to explore in their own time, alongside other peers - giving all children the option to have time out and solo play in the sand pit or engage with their friends building the biggest tower you’ve ever seen. We believe these choices are important and are a positive way of promoting boundaries from a young age. Beth and the Beansprouts team 🌱
