About Beaufort-Jasper Academy for Career Excellence

The Beaufort-Jasper Academy for Career Excellence (ACE) is a multi-district career center serving students in grades 10-12 who attend one of eight public high schools in both Beaufort and Jasper Counties. By serving two distinct communities, ACE has become a diverse learning center offering a wonderful opportunity to prepare Lowcountry students to become College and Career Ready. ACE currently offers fourteen vocational programs with the addition of both Golf Course Technology/Turf Grass Management and South Carolina’s first recognized Marine Technology Program both starting in the Fall of 2017. We anticipate a student population of over 350 students for the 2018-2019 school year which is close to double the school’s population from prior years. During the past two years, ACE had five programs earn state championships at the South Carolina annual Skills USA Competition. This included winners in Barbering, Cosmetology, Entrepreneurship, Media Technology and Nursing. At the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year, 117 ACE students were recognized as program completers earning over 151 Industry Recognized Licenses and Certifications. ACE partners with a number of industry recognized organizations to provide students with opportunity to earn credentials from organizations such as ASE, iCar, Safe Serve, AWS, LLR and NCCER. In addition to the certifications, students in our Beauty Culture Cluster and Nursing Program are expected to take state licensing tests in their respective vocations. We pride ourselves in creating a welcoming environment for all learners with a focus on preparing students for both local and national careers and post-secondary education.
