About Beautiful Day Foundation

Beautiful Day Foundation is an organization created to serve two populations in our community: children and widows. Beautiful Day's Birthday Program helps our local children better understand they are valued and they are loved, specifically on their birthdays. Once a month, the amazing Beautiful Day volunteers go into local elementary schools to celebrate the children who had a birthday that month. That day, the birthday children receive a special meal, a Beautiful Day bracelet, and a custom made birthday card telling them the day they were born was a BEAUTIFUL DAY! During the birthday lunch, Beautiful Day volunteers sit with the children and engage with them! Beautiful Day celebrates all birthdays in all 5 elementary schools in Duncan! Additionally, Beautiful Day has expanded to more school districts -- Marlow, Comanche and Empire are having Beautiful Day birthday parties! We are passionate about making sure our children know that they are loved!! Beautiful Day's Kindred Community for Widows is a program dedicated to loving and serving women who have lost their husbands. The first dinner was in September 2014 and 49 ladies bravely attended. These widows walk into a room, month after month, full of kindred souls who truly understand what they are going through. They are served and loved from the moment they arrive. In addition to the dinner, they receive cards in the mail and phone calls on important dates in their lives; such as birthdays and the anniversary of their husband's passing. We want them to know BEAUTIFUL DAYS still lie ahead for them and they are not alone!
