Founded in 1949, Beciul Domnesc is one of the largest wine producers in Romania. Today, the company operates over 1,400 hectares cultivated with noble vines, located in the famous vineyards: Cotești, Odobești, Panciu and Huși. The historical monument, Beciul Domnesc is the pride of our company. It dates back to the 14th century, during the reign of Stefan The Great and shelters over 100.000 bottles of wine. Because of the historical importance, the monument was included in Romania's cultural heritage fund. In our wineyards we find black, rose and white grapes, from varieties that can give us neutral, semi-aromatic or aromatic wines, which we vinify to obtain the dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet or sweet wines in the portfolio. From all the varieties existing in our plantations, the most representative ones are as follows: Fetească Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Traminer, Basuioaca de Bohotin, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Tâmiaoasa Româneasca, Fetească Albă, Fetească Regală and Galbena de Odobești. The Beciul Domnesc portfolio includes products from the wine, brandy and vinegar categories. Among the wine brands in the company's portfolio are Mirabilis Machina, Sceptrus, Vinoteca, Comoara Pivniţei, Egregio, Rosé Vérité, Beciul Domnesc, Beciul Domnesc Grand Reserve, Sigillum Moldaviae and others, and the portfolio of brandy consists of the Mioriţa and Jad brands. The quality of the products has been recognized by specialists from all over the world, thus the wines and brandies from the Beciul Domnesc portfolio have won numerous medals at national and international competitions.
