About Bedford Underwriters

Bedford Underwriters is a Managing General Agency and Wholesale Insurance Broker. We provide independent insurance agents access to specialty insurance markets that can write hard to place or unique accounts. We opened our doors back in 1990 and have remained a family owned business. Since we have binding authority with numerous markets, we often can quote, bind and issue polices right in our office with short lead times. We have an excellent staff ready to take on a wide array of challenges. Many of our people have been with us for over 15 years, so they have the experience to help you with a wide range of accounts, large or small. We accept submissions on ACORD applications, however we can provide specialty or supplemental applications upon request. We can work from competitor’s applications too, so no need to go through a lot of extra work if you already have an application completed—just send it to us for a quote.
