Our Story Beequip began in a small warehouse with founder Russell Smith’s passion for bees, which started in the 1980s. With a background in engineering, Russell aimed to bring modern, practical solutions to Kiwi beekeepers. In 2015, we launched as the exclusive NZ distributor for Technosetbee, making our debut at the National Bee Conference in Taupo — and quickly becoming a trusted name in the industry. Growth & Innovation Since then, we’ve grown from a two-person team to over ten, expanding our product range and facilities to meet growing demand. Our customers include backyard beekeepers, queen breeders, and large commercial operators.
