About Beers Aren't Bad (BAB EDU)

The phrase started as a joke from our time delivering "typical risk trainings" after college. Two problems stood out: 1) Substance abuse had become normal on most campuses 2) The culprits (ourselves included) seemed to tune out most alcohol education. Our movement began as a meme account pointing out this irony. But let's be clear, the consequences are catastrophic. Collegiate substance abuse harms relationships, creates addiction, and destroys lives (over 1500 students die from alcohol-related accidents annually, according to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse). Now, with the help of students at 50+ universities nationwide, we've found three ways to modernize alcohol education: -who it's built for (we sell directly to student-leaders) -how it’s taught (we focus on what you can do, not what you can't) -and, of course, what it's called. Beers Aren’t Bad has already changed the way countless students approach their relationship with alcohol, and we’re only just beginning. Our mission: To empower students with goals, choice, and ownership in their social decisions. Our vision: revolutionize risk reduction nationwide. The simple translation?
