Behavioral Health of NY, founded by Dr. Mitchell S. Levy, is a private practice of Psychologists, Clinical Psychotherapists, and Couples Therapists. Our clinicians are fully Licensed with an average of 15 years of experience educated at prestigious universities including University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, and New York University. We specialize in treating a range of conditions including Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, OCD, ADHD (adult and child) and Childhood Trauma. Each clinician has expertise in a specific therapy method -- Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and ACT, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Couples, Child/Adolescent and Family Therapy. Each new client receives an in-depth initial consultation to determine which therapy method will be most effective given the client’s presenting concerns, history, character, and prior therapy experience. Dr. Levy has developed our specifically designed initial consultation process and has found that determining the right therapy method for each new client is crucial for successful treatment. Having the right treatment method allows clients to achieve results in a relatively short period of time. For many this is a refreshing change from having been in therapy for many years with little or no progress.
