Bel Haven Paddlesports has long since become a landmark in the heart of the New Jersey Pinelands. In 1953, William Bell and his twin brothers; armed with only shovels, built a dam and created a lake. Starting with 6 canoes and a beach, history had begun! Staying true to the initial intention where folks could spend time experiencing …the splendor of our environment, the sacredness of our rivers, and the serenity of paddling… our business philosophy has expanded but not changed. Now, 57 years later, we are still family owned and operated. Canoes have lined up alongside kayaks, rental trips have become more like mini explorations and the demand for sales & service has made BHP a premiere regional paddling center in the Mid Atlantic. Today, the Bel Haven Lake and Marina answers the quest for the paddling enthusiast with our year round test paddling promise! We want to thank all of our patrons over the years and the next generation to come! For us, we are committed that BHP continues to be synonymous with quality outdoor recreation.
