About BELAROSA Hotel
BELAROSA is in Antigua Guatemala. Our hotel is named after the youngest and oldest women in our family. Isabela “Bela” and my mother Rosa. Isabela was named after an amazing woman who we lost too early and was very important to us. Isabel was her middle name and in honor of her, my niece was named Isabela. Our name is important because it elevates the importance our women play in the nuclear Guatemalan family. This project is a labor of love and a family project intended to honor the immigrant experience my parents had to endure to provide our family with opportunities. My father built fancy homes for the wealthy in Malibu, Palisades, and many other neighborhoods while my mother cleaned those same homes and worked part-time at a motel doing housekeeping. Today we honor their sacrifices as we develop this family gem. BELAROSA is under construction and the projected grand opening is June 2023.
