The Belgian Buildings Agency (Regie der Gebouwen | Régie des Bâtiments) is the real estate manager of the federal state. Our mission is to provide office infrastructure for federal public services. We also preserve and restore federal architectural heritage. Our core values are - integrity and responsibility - professionalism - team spirit - service and a client oriented approach We manage about 7,2 million m² in real estate, divided over 887 building complexes. We either rent office space or act as a principal. For certain projects, we apply public-private partnerships. Our services include civil and structural engineering, HVAC, electricity, electro-mechanics, technical building management, energy management, sustainable development, restoration techniques, facility and project management. We act as technical advisor in unique projects like the international world exhibition in Osaka 2025. Our major partners are various Federal Public Services such as Justice (courthouses, prisons), Finance or the Home Office (Federal police, Civil protection). Among our clients you will also find the opera house La Monnaie, the Palace of the Academies, the Musical Instruments Museum, the Magritte Museum, the Belgian Royal Museums of Fine Arts, the Halle Gate, the Museums of the Far East, the Center for Fine Arts (Bozar), the Royal Museum for Central Africa, the Museum of Natural Science, the Cinquantenaire Museum, State Archives or the Royal palaces. We provide infrastructure for the European Schools in Belgium (European Commission of the EU) and act as delegated principal for the Council of the EU.
