About Believe to Achieve Organization
In 2011, the Believe to Achieve Organization ("BTA") established one of Toronto’s most successful community support initiatives, recognized across the city for its success in keeping young people in school and off the streets. Operating today as Spider's After School Program ("SASP"), this initiative is the inspiration of media personality and Golden Glove winner, Spider Jones, who remains its President and driving force. SASP provides nutrition, academic tutoring, mentorship and physical activities for "at-risk" children (ages 5-13) in the Downsview-Roding neighborhood, located at Jane Street and Chalkfarm Drive in North-West Toronto. This program empowers participants to maintain good health, excel in school, expand social skills and make better life choices. SASP also offers a Summer Camp and a March Break Camp under the auspices of the Believe to Achieve Organization. SASP maintains a 1,500 square foot facility with a community kitchen, library, computer room and performing arts center.
