About Belltower Books
Belltower Books was created in 2004 by two Cornell University undergraduates. Our founders wanted to use the internet to create a more competitive, open, and efficient market for used textbooks. At the end of every semester, we were frustrated by a process that typically included: -Walks across campus to the bookstore -Long lines -Short operating hours -Few books eligible for buyback -Low prices -Impersonal service It was stressful enough having to contend with finals and preparing to go home! We set out to create the most convenient textbook market by hiring buyers who could travel to customers throughout the day and pay cash for their books. All of a sudden our fellow students felt valued. They could request a book pickup as they prepared to leave school, relieving the hassle of one more chore. Since then, we have proven that a business built by motivated students can make an impact. Our people have served over one million customers, and we hope to earn your patronage, too.
