About Belly Button Designs

Belly Button Designs was set up with a Kings Trust grant over 30 years ago by the founder and Creative Director Rachel Hare. With design firmly at the forefront, the company has excelled in the design led greeting card sector in the UK supplying both independent retailers, multiples and high end chains as well as exporting cards all over the world. The sister giftware business was set up more recently and has expanded from gift bags and wrap to ceramics, fragrance/candles and accessories. Sustainability has always been at the heart of the business and we strive to reduce plastic in all packaging and create more purposeful product. 2025 sees the launch of the Belly Button ‘Signature’ collection which celebrates the companies design heritage from cards to giftware. We also own 2 bricks and mortar boutique shops close to our HQ where we stock many of our own products as well as other complementary brands. We sell through a strong network of sales agents, trade shows have 2 trade websites as well as a direct to consumer website.
