About Bentara Restaurant
Traditional Malaysian cuisine serves in a chic and fun atmosphere. Bentara (a title to a king's servant) was established back in 1978 by the chef's mother, Wan Salma Wan Hussain, in Ketereh, Kelantan, Malaysia. Bentara in the US was first opened in 1995 and moved to our present location in downtown New Haven in 1997. We are a recipient of Wine Spectator's Best of Awards of Excellence for our wine list.
