About BEP Surface Technologies
Experts in precision grinding of all kinds of rotating equipment to very fine tolerances, everything BEP does is cylindrical and the bigger the better. BEP has the capability and skills to machine and electroplate very large components to the precision equating to 5 microns. We can then plate those components with either nickel, copper or chrome and finish with the correct texture. It is the capacity to machine and finish in-house that makes BEP unique. Proprietary coating techniques coupled with high tolerance grinding machines of significant size will not be found elsewhere in the UK. How We Can Help: ➤ Precision cylindrical grinding and turning: Pins, shafts, rollers, cylinders and all rotating equipment to very fine tolerances. Processing mill rolls, calendar rolls, turbine rotors and chill rolls up to 15 tonnes in weight and up to 1550mm diameter x 8800mm long, in materials as diverse as tungsten carbide and rubber. ➤ Electroplating: Hard chrome, nickel and copper, the most comprehensive range of component sizes to world-leading tolerances, finish styles and textures. ➤ Roll polishing: Producing the highest quality mirror polished chrome plated rolls with surface finishes as fine as Ra 0.005um and with TIR and parallelism close to perfection. ➤ Textured finishes: A wide range of matt, silk and textured surfaces by grit/sand blasting and various electrolytic techniques. BEP can create a wide range of textures from fine Ra 0.1um to rough Ra 15um. BEP is committed to protecting both its employees and the environment.
