About Berdoll Sawmill

Berdoll Sawmill is a family-owned and operated sawmill just east of Austin, Texas. We take pride in producing the highest quality, kiln dried live edge slabs and furniture-grade lumber available. We exclusively harvest and mill native Texas hardwood logs from sustainable sources within about a 100 mile radius of the sawmill. We specialize in milling, drying and surfacing live edge slabs with the capacity to mill slabs up to 82 inches wide. Our slabs are carefully kiln dried to a moisture content of 6-8% in our computer-controlled kilns, then surfaced flat on our 100 inch wide jointer/planer and are ready for final sanding and finishing. We stock 5,000-10,000 board feet of kiln dried 4/4 and 8/4 furniture-grade native Texas hardwood lumber in the following species: Texas Pecan, Mesquite, Walnut and limited quantities of other native Texas species. We take extra care in keeping boards from the same tree together, providing book-matched sets as well as natural edge lumber. Our lumber is sold rough sawn or surfaced flat on both faces. We also stock kiln dried, hardwood mantels in Texas Pecan, Mesquite and Walnut. Our 100″ wide jointer/planer is available for custom surfacing, to accurately flatten slabs or table tops. A full suite of woodshop services are available including: jointing, planing, wide belt sanding, straight line ripping, resawing and other specialty millwork. Our two bandsaw sawmills are also available for custom milling. Our extensive inventory is stored in a 4,500 SF humidity controlled showroom, with slabs displayed vertically for easy viewing and lumber is in accessible lumber racks.
