About Berkshire HorseWorks
Horses are incredibly intelligent and emotionally intune on a very deep level, which makes equine therapy so valuable and effective in treating physical and mental ailments of various degrees. Especially for children, the connection to be built and the trust to follow can pave the way to a whole new world for them. Berkshire HorseWorks™, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation is part of the international EAGALA network, providing Equine Assisted therapeutic and team building to people and organizations of all kinds: children, adults, families, corporations, Boards of Directors, social services personnel, management teams, school staff, state agencies, health and wellness professionals, youth groups, law enforcement, and more. Rooted in evidence-based practices, experiential workshops and retreats are customized to meet the needs and goals of any size group, although we are geared more strongly towards the therapeutic needs of children. Sessions are offered year round. Berkshire HorseWorks utilizes the proven, effective and powerful EAGALA Model practiced in over 50 countries by over 4,500 certified professionals. Our programs and services vary from mounted lessons on the back of a horse to group activities with both feet on the ground. Our Psychotherapy sessions serve individuals and couples, and include both short and long-term group programs. Led by EAGALA trained and certified professionals, the Berkshire HorseWorks approach is extremely effective in situations as diverse as: - Helping a child cope with and overcome anxiety - Working efficiently towards common goal such as increased productivity or landing a new client - Navigating cultural differences and improving client services - Mitigating crises - Preparing for an IRS audit - Collaborating with staff to enhance communication and adapt to a new management style and initiatives - Building camaraderie
