Bernshaw Dresses - designed and dreamt in London. Bernshaw is synonymous with glamour and sophistication with occasion wear dresses which are dreamt and designed in London by the company’s third generation Design Director Sara Brett. Bernshaw was founded in 1945 when Phyllis and Edward Bernstein began designing and manufacturing evening wear from premises in South Molton Street, London W1. Still owned by the same family, Sara joined the business at 16, gathering experience from the design studio to the sales team before being appointed as Design Director. Taking inspiration from the catwalks and the beauty of the modern world, she translates this into elegant, luxury dresses and gowns with an exquisite fit and immaculate finish. In 2015 Bernshaw celebrate their 70 year anniversary marking a milestone in the company’s history which has developed over the years in response to the changing social trends and cultural events. Sara Brett Design Director says; “As Coco Chanel once said ‘Fashion changes, but style endures.’ Bernshaw dresses are designed to make women feel and look beautiful accentuating their figures to wear with elegance, confidence and poise. Bernshaw dresses reference fashion trends but will always remain timeless creations, investment pieces for years to come.
