About Better Bankside

Better Bankside exists to make Bankside a better place to do business. Better Bankside is a Business Improvement District (BID); a non-profit, independent company, led and funded by Bankside-based businesses. Our vision is to make Bankside the best neighbourhood in the world. The Better Bankside area includes over 620 businesses and covers the area from the riverside in the north, Great Suffolk Street to the south, Blackfriars Road to the west and east to Borough High Street. Our business members enjoy our diverse range of services from free recycling to a local "Buzz" discount card scheme, marketing support, cycling services and free recruitment. We run regular business and social events, fostering a culture of working with our neighbours to keep business in Bankside. If you want to support the local community, we can help you make connections through our CSR programme. We also deliver projects that improve the public realm in Bankside and our team of wardens and cleaners keep the streets safe and clean. There are a number of ways that you can get involved with Better Bankside from joining one of our theme groups or sitting on the board of directors.
