About Better Mental Performance Coaching

At Better Mental we strive to help athletes reach their full potential by identifying What mental skills they use well, which mental skills they could practice to get Better at, and How to practice those skills in their sport. We also offer coach development sessions to implement mental skills in everyday practice. While in grad school, Brook and Mel spent a year student co-consulting and used to joke about wanting to start a business in the future. Fast forward to the summer of 2020 and Better Mental was created. They are currently located in southern Florida but love to travel to different areas to put on workshops and work with different people. Collectively they have experience working with youth soccer and collegiate level competitive cheerleading. At Better Mental we believe that: 1. Athletes are people first and know themselves better than anyone. 2. Working collaboratively with our clients to find a solution that fits their situation is key to improvement. 3. Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all linked and have more power than we realize.
